Community Growing Grants

We were delighted to distribute a new round of Community Growing Capital Grants to support local food projects across Neath Port Talbot.

If your community group is growing food – or thinking of starting – please get in touch to ask about future rounds of funding to help your project thrive. In June 2025, we offered capital grants of between £250 and £1,500 to support the development of community growing spaces, purchase tools and equipment, and improve infrastructure.

We’re continuing to invest in grassroots projects that promote healthy, local, affordable and sustainable food, while strengthening our local supply chains and food resilience.

The grants were shared with:

  • Voluntary and community groups
  • Social enterprises
  • Constituted organisations with a food-growing focus

Eligible projects could help tackle food poverty, support wellbeing, build community connections, or address climate and nature goals. We were especially keen to support groups we haven’t funded before.

All funds must be spent by the end of October 2025, and reports submitted by end of November 2025.

Download the application form and full guidance from our website below, or email us at nptfood@4theregion.org.uk if you have questions.

Please share this opportunity with groups in your community – and get in touch if you’d like printed copies of the application form or guidance.

Let’s keep growing together!

NB This Funding Round has now closed.
