Saturday 20th September – Visit to Banwen Community Garden,
Canolfan Maerdy’s community growing project in Lower Brynamman
This event is part of a wider Canolfan Maerdy open day running from 10am to 3pm. You are welcome to go directly to the Banwen site (Old Glyn School, School Road, Lower Brynamman, SA18 1SU) or pick up a free shuttle bus running hourly from the Canolfan Maerdy (New Road, Tairgwaith SA18 1UP) to the garden. Light refreshments will be available at the garden and there will be a relaxed and friendly workshop session from 12noon to 2pm, led by head gardener Charles, focussed on winter planning and extending the growing season. All are welcome to pop in to look around the garden and/or join the workshop – no pre-booking is required. (See posters attached for more details).
Saturday 27th September – Visit to Hwb y Gors,
the brand new community resource created by Awel Aman Tawe.
Be amongst the first to tour this extraordinary centre and discover how the new community garden areas will be developed as a valuable part of this impressive project. The 2hr event starts at 10am with a tour of the site and volunteers sharing their plans for the outdoor space. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be lots of opportunities to network with others.

Wednesday 24th September – It’s Your Neath Port Talbot
4theRegion’s county-wide discussion forum at Margam Orangery
The NPT Food Partnership will be exhibiting at this event, and we are looking forward to meeting local businesses and community organisations with an interest in local food. Come along and talk to us on the day, to learn more about the partnership and how you can be involved. 3rd and 4th October – Neath Food and Drink Festival
An amazing day for foodies, attracting producers from across South Wales
The NPT Food Partnership will once again be hosting the Community Marquee at the fantastic Neath Food and Drink Festival. Expect family-friendly activities, interactive exhibits and the opportunity to talk to lots of local organisations.
