The Neath Port Talbot Food Partnership is a growing network of people, businesses and organisations who care about food. We’re here to connect and support everyone working to make good food more available, affordable and accessible across the county.

By bringing people together, we’re strengthening Neath Port Talbot’s food system and supporting the local food economy. Our aim is to promote joined-up thinking and practical action around key issues like food poverty, health and nutrition, sustainable farming, food education, and food waste. Together, we’re working towards a future where everyone has access to healthy, local and sustainable food – and where our local producers, growers and food businesses can thrive.

A key focus of our work is rebuilding local food supply chains. We want to make it easier for food buyers – from schools and hospitals to cafes and retailers – to source produce from local farmers and producers. Supporting local food businesses not only strengthens the economy, it reduces food miles, cuts carbon emissions, and helps keep money circulating in our communities. We believe public services and major organisations have a vital role to play in opening up opportunities for small, sustainable suppliers.

We also celebrate the power of community. Across Neath Port Talbot, amazing work is already happening – from school growing projects and community gardens to food banks, cooking classes and market gardens. The Food Partnership exists to join the dots between these efforts, helping people share knowledge, collaborate, and scale up what works.

Whether you’re a grower, food business, school, public body, community organisation or local resident, there’s a role for you in shaping a better food future. By working together, we can reconnect with where our food comes from, support small producers, and build a food system that is fair, resilient and good for people and planet.

If you’re interested in getting involved or want to find out more, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
